Give every customer self-service that knows their case
Personalized, grounded self-service: each customer gets the answer and the steps for their own case, from your approved knowledge and their account.
Why this matters in self-service
Customers go to self-service first, at any hour, with their own case in hand. What they find there decides whether they finish or pick up the phone.
An article is written for the general case: how the plan works, what the policy says, where the form is. The customer arrives with a specific one - a contract signed before a price change, a plan that is no longer sold, a move to an address the service reaches on different terms.
The article that nearly fits costs the most. The customer reads it, is left unsure whether it applies to them, and calls to check. The same question now costs a contact and a wait, and the service agent answers it from a different source.
AI assistants on the website raise the stakes. An assistant reading the general article gives the general answer, fluently, to the customer whose case is the exception.
- The challenge:
Answers written for the general case
The customer’s own situation is the one the article leaves to them.
With ClearMash Brain:Tasks finished without contact
More customers complete what they came to do, because the answer fits their case.
- The challenge:
Contacts that begin after a visit
A customer who read the page and still calls is asking a question self-service already had.
With ClearMash Brain:Customers who act on the first answer
An answer written for their case is one a customer acts on without checking.
- The challenge:
Different answers to the same question
The portal says one thing, the service agent another, and the customer is left to decide which one holds.
With ClearMash Brain:One answer in every channel
The help center, the assistant and the service agent give the same position to the same question.
- The challenge:
Change that reaches the page late
A new fee or rule reaches the help pages after it reaches the first customer who asks about it.
With ClearMash Brain:Change that reaches customers at once
Customers read a new fee or rule from the day it applies.
- The challenge:
Assistants with no defined boundary
An assistant with no method answers a question it should have handed to a service agent.
With ClearMash Brain:Assistants that hand over at the right point
The assistant answers inside the method and passes the case on where a service agent decides.
- The challenge:
Questions with no page behind them
A search that finds nothing ends in a call.
With ClearMash Brain:Gaps found from what customers ask
Searches that find nothing show owners what to add.
Self-service is a What and How problem, written for the customer
What: which plan this customer holds, which terms govern their contract, what the fee is on their date, and whether the exception applies to them. How: the steps that finish the task, in order, with the check that comes first and the point where a service agent takes over.
A help center that holds the What without the How leaves the customer with a fact and nothing to do with it. One that holds the How without the What gives every customer the same steps, including the customers they do not fit.
The What and the How already exist inside the organization, written for the service floor. Rewritten separately for customers, they drift apart, and the customer is the first to find the difference.
The help center answers for each customer’s own case
The Brain is the help center: it holds the organization’s position once and applies it to each customer who asks.
A customer asks in their own words, on the website, in the app or in an assistant embedded in either, and gets back the position that applies to their case, with the reason and the steps to finish.
The service floor works from the same understanding. When a fee or a rule changes, it changes once and reaches every channel together.
Personalized to their account
Their plan, their contract date and their exception decide what they read.
Grounded in approved knowledge
Every answer comes from the products, terms and procedures your organization has approved for customers.
Steps that end in a finished task
The customer follows the organization’s own sequence, from the first check to the last step.
One position, in their language
Translated automatically, the answer reads the same in every language a customer asks in.
What a customer needs settled to finish alone
Each one depends on the customer’s own case, and each one settled online is a contact saved.
- WHATWhat this customer’s plan lets them change on their own.
- WHICHWhich terms govern a contract signed before the last price change.
- WHOWho has to approve it, if anyone, and when a service agent takes over.
- WHENWhen the change takes effect, and what it does to the next bill.
- WHEREWhere the answer differs for their region or their product.
- WHYWhy the answer is what it is, in words the customer can act on.
- HOWHow to finish it, step by step, while they are there.
Moving house after hours, on terms signed before the price change.
The customer finishes the move on their own.
A customer starts a task on their own, after hours. Each step waits on a fact from their own account - the new address, the plan they hold, the date they signed - and the Brain supplies it, so the way opens a step at a time and ends in a finished task. The way to a service agent stays open throughout, and the answer at the end of it is the same.

A move, finished at nine in the evening
A customer is moving and wants to take their service with them. They signed before the last price change, and the new address is served on a different plan. The contact center opens again at eight in the morning.
With a Brain as the help center, the customer reads the position for their contract: the move is possible, the new plan starts on the moving date, and the moving fee does not apply to the terms they signed. Then the steps, in order, in their words. The customer finishes that evening, with the answer a service agent would have given in the morning.
Where a Brain sits between your content and each customer’s account
Every answer draws on what your organization has written and on what this customer holds.
Articles, guides and procedures stay where they are kept, and the Brain reads them in place, beside the plan and the terms on this customer’s account.
The help center runs inside your own website and app, on your domain and under your brand.
What the Brain reads when a customer asks
- The customer account The plan they hold, when they signed and what is on the account today.
- Plan, pricing and product terms The fee and the conditions in force for the contract this customer signed.
- Articles, guides and FAQs What the organization has already written for customers, wherever it lives.
- Service procedures The steps the service floor follows, which the customer’s own steps are written from.
- What customers ask and search for The questions that arrive, and the visits that end in a contact.

Why ClearMash for self-service
A customer on their own relies on what the help center says, so the knowledge has to carry the whole case. ClearMash is the knowledge orchestration layer that keeps it correct, current and applicable, and improves it from the questions customers ask.
The same Brain answers the customer, guides the service agent and bounds the assistant, so a customer who moves between them hears one position.
Built to face customers
Every position a customer reads has an owner, an approval and a version history. Access rules decide what reaches a public channel and what stays internal, and they bind the assistant exactly as they bind the page. Accounts and personal data stay in the systems that own them. The certifications, and the detail behind them, are on the Security page.
The notices and statements you send come from the knowledge your customers read. As your Customer Communications Management (CCM), the Brain composes each one with the customer’s own data, sends it by email, SMS, app or print, and keeps it on record.
